Description of Work
The existing DB Lux office (2BKA) office was originally set to undergo a process of space restack to allow the consolidation of DWS onto Level 1, where works were required to accommodate business units on other floors. During the development of the project, DB decided that this was no longer necessary, and a re-definition of the scope was implemented.
The scope of the intervention on the office spaces was condensed to the Replacement of over 400 existing old desks with new height adjustable desks from existing DB offices Germany / Netherlands and purchase of new chairs for the office areas.
The main focus of the works for DB was the formation of a new Gym Room for the use of their employees. The Gym Equipment was to be relocated from an existing DB office in Munsbach, and a series of rooms were to be reconverted in the basement areas to form the Gym. At Basement level, three existing toilets also needed to be reconverted into shower cabins and an all-gender toilet.
The Procurement of the GC was done on a Single Source negotiated approach to try and optimize delivery times and make the best use of a pre-existing global relationship that DB had with one of their main vendors.
The project began in March 2023, with the Construction works starting in January 2024 and being planned for completion in early May 2024.
